On the 17th, I bid a not-so-sad farewell to my home state and flew to rainier pastures with my lovely girlfriend, qlow, after a less than stellar year and a half in a shitty apartment north of San Diego.
So far I love it here...rainy, warm, the people are nice. What more could I want?
I will miss my family, and In-n-Out, and the mountains. This is a good step for me, though. We all need change at some point.

In-N-Out isn't all that good
I'd like to give you a huge high-five after reading that! My husband and I live in southern CA, and we can't wait to get the heck outta here finally.
It took me a really long time to work up the courage to leave...I've lived there almost all my life and I was kind of scared of the change, you know? The entire other side of the country... but we've found life is a bit easier here. Much less expensive, so we can actually save for our future. Where are you two moving?
He's lived here his whole life, and I've lived here most of mine now (though I've been moved a few times). We're planning to move to OR or WA; not sure which yet because we're trying to figure out living quarters and jobs simultaneously.
Without change, we'd still be living in caves... Good luck in the new surroundings!
Wishing you both the best of luck in your adventures together! Some change is always good to be able to enjoy life!
I wish you both the best of luck in your new home!
